They screamed and clapped when he cried and crawled.
Cheered him on as they watched him fall.
They watched the part that they knew well.
Rapt, in their seats till the intermission bell.
The script then took a twisted route.
He stabbed the hero, put his lights out.
He faced the audience as they cowered in fear.
His fury cost him more than his career.
